The main purpose of this website is to display my skills and previous work to potential clients or employers so a portfolio is a logical thing to have. I hope to build this up as I do more projects and work for my friends and family.
Amiapoil Burmese
I made this website in 2005 with the latest design being in mid 2006. The purpose of this website is to display information and pictures about the kittens available along with contact details. The current version is available in English, French and Dutch with plans in place for Italian and German to be added at a later date. Each version has it’s own hit counter to help the owner learn what the version is being seen. The site runs on a single PHP page for each language that loads the four html pages containing the content making it easier for the client to update the website without my assistance.
English – amiapoil-burmese.co.uk
Français – amiapoil-burmese.fr
Nederlands – amiapoil-burmese.nl
A new version to be created in November.
BloomerzUK
A friend from the internet came to me for help with his website which Macromedia DreamWeaver seemed to have made a mess off. This friend is fantastic with graphics but not at making websites. When I looked at the source code for what he had done it had frames everywhere. I then set about coding his website from scratch while keeping the look the same. The end result that you can see below uses no frames or javascript to achieve the same effect that he had before. Although he says that the rollovers don’t work on IE.

DesignNotes
I am hired by Design Notes as a freelance programmer for MySQL and PHP work where they have came to me with and requirements of the system and I work to come up with a solution. The solutions are made locally on my laptop and are then copied onto the server so they are able to see the progress of my work. This allows them to provide me with feedback that I use to adjust the solution to better suit their needs.
Cousins’ Computer
I built a computer for my cousins out of spare parts that I had lying about and some new ones. This computer did not need to be powerful but needed to be windows so they can play games and know how to use it. While I was there I also set up a wireless network so both computers can access the internet.
