As a christian, I am completely for something like this. Hypocrisy fucking plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagues our religion. Seriously. It's like Moses called it forth himself. Go to that person's church, stick it in the collection's box. Rather, get 40,000 of them, and stick it in the collections box. They have no fuckin' right to complain about it if you do, either. It's one thing to leave a biblical verse (though I still disagree with doing this), but they disguised it as money. This is just CRUEL. You think you have a ten dollar tip, come to find out it isn't, and they KNEW you would think it was a ten dollar tip, to come to find out it isn't. There was not fuckin' need for that.
OP, I want to personally apologize for Christians (note, I'm not saying "those of my religion" because our denominations are so far apart, I'm starting to think we're don't worship anything similar.) that do this. Proverbs and Biblical verses are not going to feed your family, they are not going to put you through college, they are not going to pay for Portal 3 (yes, those three scenarios are all equally important. Do not test me. Have a little faith in Gaben. He'll get there eventually. Maybe even before he dies.) Some Christians are so lost in the fanaticism of their religion, that they cannot see the world in front of them. They don't see things logically. They believe so strongly, that they fail to see the world for what it is, see life for what it is. People need food, people need money, people need sex, people need love. Believe it or not, I think one of the things that make me such a good Christian is that, though I love God with all my heart, I could be wrong. I have no proof that God exists. That's why they're called "beliefs" and not "truths." I don't live my life being good and kind to people because God wants me to. I am good and kind to people because I like being good and kind to people! Because I think people of all races, religions, lack of religions, sexual orientation, gender, what-the-fuck ever, don't believe as I do, and deserve some common human decency. Whether I'm right or wrong about God, we all share this rock for a very limited amount of time, and I'm not going to waste my time in a church, or making this world a miserable place for those who aren't (or even are) Christian. If God is real, he created this world for us. We should love and cherish and experience it to the fullest. If God is not real, we should love and cherish and experience it to the fullest, because, regardless of beliefs, this is the only fuckin' chance we've got. Guh.
And for some reason it's the most difficult fuckin' thing to acknowledge that THERE ARE OTHER RELIGIONS, AND LACK OF, out there. I love God, I worship Jesus, but c'mon, He is not going to personally come down from his massaging chair made of clouds to hand you ten bucks. OP, I'm sorry. Set up a paypal so I can send you ten bucks.
TL;DR: Religious rant. Sorry, Atheism. I honestly love you guys, keep making me laugh.
